The N1ST's Journey Part 2

Afler continued to fall down the dark hole, unsure what would become of him. All he knew that this emptied into something that would crush him. But it continued, like the bottom never existed. It twisted and turned and half the time, he swore he saw the ship's corridors. But during all time, someone else was having the same problem.
Commander Tya, a hawkan, was rushing to her quarters. A Hawkan is a mix between hawks, and humans, which result in humans with beaks. Although it can be hard to be a hawkan in a group of humans, and be proud, Tya is respected on the N1ST.
She was hurrying to her quarters for a special reason. Captain Juan had ordered her to present her report on the space ahead of them. It was a space they haven't discovered and they really needed to know what it was. But since Tya hasn't returned fast enough, they proceeded.
Tya had a reason. The ship seemed to be twisted. Half of the time she bumped into someone who was trying to get to another part of the ship. She encountered something weird. She found Sergent Kaya's, Commander Hanson's, and Gogi's (the cook) quarters all on the same deck. But Sergent Kaya's quarters is on Deck 5, Commander Hanson's quarters is on Deck 2, and Gogi's quarters is on Deck 7, near the kitchen.
Now how can Decks 5, 2, and 7 all be on Deck 9? That can't be. She searched all of Deck 9, which she had memorized on her first day. But it seem longer, actually it seemed like she was walking all the way around the ship. She kept searching. This time, she talked to everyone she saw.
"Gogi," she said to the cook, who really liked her and was a great friend, "What level are you on and where are you going or what are you looking for?"
Gogi, a frazzled Corthian, a species of humans with spots on their body, was actually frightened when he saw her bumped into him. He was skipping along to the kitchen, where he would serve his famous Mushroom and Spinach pot pies. (which were actually not tasty at all and it seemed that Gogi never found out)
Gogi tried to think hard on the question. In fact, he thought he was still on Deck 7. When he said that to Tya, she burst out laughing. Gogi grew that look in his eye when Tya told her side.
"Gogi," Tua said calmly, "were on Deck 9, I'm positive. I was going down to Deck 9 to get my report for Captain Juan."
"But Tya," Gogi exclaimed, "you must be sick. We're on Deck 7, which is why I'm confused why you would be here, unless you like early breakfast."
"No thank you," Tya firmly spoke, "but we both have a problem. You say you're on Deck 7, while I say Deck 9. Haven't you have thought that they might have been fused?"
"Fused?" Gogi asked, raising his eyebrow.
"Yes, it's a possibility and a logical one. We might have stumbled on a fused corridor that has Decks 7 and 9 together."
There she goes again, thought Gogi. Her people have always been logical race, that always have a answer to everything. Most the time, the humans aboard fall asleep while she's explaining a circuit gate and how they both work and are made.
"But Tya," Gogi interrupted while she was explaining how the deck would have been fused, "There is no possible way for it to happen. For one, wouldn''t you have thought that we have seen a upward slant on Deck 8? And for two, why would they have fused the corridors?"
"Well, I can answer the second one. People could travel from Deck 9 to the kitchen with out the elevator. But you're true on the first question. So what's happening to the ship. You know what, we should get to Deck 1 and command a full flash scan to show us a picture of the ship."
Just then, another person came toward them, or more of a group of people.
